Simple Green Naturals Full Cleaning Line Review and Giveaway

You all know that I love green products! So it will come as no surprise to you that I love the Simple Green Naturals Cleaning Supplies. They have a full line of cleaners that are 100% naturally derived. That is right! All of the Simple Green ingredients originate from nature: chicory, coconut, corn, palm, naturally occurring minerals, salt and sugar, and water. Nothing else. And two more important things- all of the Simple Green Naturals products I tried work and they are reasonably priced!

I was lucky enough to try the Simple Green Naturals dishwashing liquid, liquid hand soap, multi-surface care, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, concentrated cleaner, floor cleaner, and carpet cleaner! I am not going to go on and on about each one but I would like to point out a few things. First, all of these products were as effective as any others cleaning products I have tried (including conventionals). The liquid hand soap comes in a 16 ounce size which is twice as large as most conventional hand soaps (less container waste than two separate bottles) and is only $3.99! I liked that all of the products had soft natural scents. Simple Green Naturals use naturals scents from oils such as basil, sage, clary sage, rosemary and orange oils to provide a fresh scent without phthalates. The packaging of the Naturals products are 25% or more post-consumer content, recyclable PET plastic, and the labels are printed with soy based ink. Gardening with My Kids

We planted a smallish garden about a month ago. My kids love it! They loved digging up the dirt and playing with the worms and my daughter did a great job pulling up the weeds and placing the brick border. At five, my daughter is into helping with every little step, my son, at three, is more interested in just playing with the worms and transporting the bricks!

We planted a bunch of tomatoes, my favorite! We also planted summer squash and zucchini. My daughter planted a "runaway squash seed" she got from a friend and everything is doing really well so far. My husband planted a ton of spicy peppers (his favorite) from seeds and they are still small but coming along.

The problem we have so far is that something keeps eating all my summer squash and zucchini blossoms. Last year I thought it was the deer but it could be the bunnies, armadillo, or squirrels. We have a wildlife park back there. I have even seen a wild turkey in my yard!

We also have blueberries we planted last year. The blueberries are looking great though still green. We have strawberries came back from the ones we planted last year too but they are consistently small and an animal or my daughter always get them before I get a bite!

I love gardening even though ours is tiny!

I also love the message of the people tee- that we have to make the changes we want to see. The "think green" speaks pretty clearly to me- it's the smart thing to do!

May is National Foster Care Month!

I am doing this post to help raise awareness for this worthy cause. As a mother, it hurts my heart to think of children that need good homes and don't have them. I don't know much about this and I have recently been curious about what the foster care process involves and what the need is. So National Foster Care Month is the perfect opportunity for me to find out more and share it with you in case you are curious too!

Each May, National Foster Care Month provides an opportunity to shine a light on the thousands of children and youth in the U.S. foster care system. The National Adoption Campaign in partnership with the Children’s Bureau, AdoptUsKids, and the Ad Council raises awareness about the urgent needs of these young people and encourages citizens from every walk of life to get involved. Visit this link to learn how to take action and help raise awareness for adoption and foster care needs.
