Kardea Nutrition- Delicious Nutrition Protein Bars that Support Heart Health Giveaway

At Kardea Nutrition, their motto is the coming together of taste and science for natural cholesterol management and heart health.

I believe what we eat certainly effects our health. As Kardea says it, "Natural nutrition plays a powerful role in improving cholesterol levels and long-term cardiovascular health. Success with natural cholesterol management goes beyond a single vitamin or a single food. Success goes beyond restricting the intake of heart harmful cholesterol and saturated and trans fats. Success requires positive nutrients that alter cholesterol absorption and metabolism. These positive nutrients include plant sterols, viscous soluble fiber, monounsaturated fats, Omega-3s and niacin as nicotinic acid. Equally important, success requires taking these nutrients consistently and at effective levels... Kardea was created to enable you to meet this challenge. We offer a varied selection of delicious natural foods that provide meaningful levels of positive nutrients."

My kids and I tried the Kardea Nutrition Bars. These bars came in four great flavors and I really enjoyed all of them, especially the lemon-ginger. They had a nice creamy texture like caramel with a bit of crunch too! None of that powdery, hard to swallow quality that I have encountered in some protein bars. (I used to eat a variety of them when I was pregnant because I could keep them in my purse and snack constantly to prevent nausea!) I really enjoyed the flavor combinations which were sweet but not too sweet. Each of the Kardea bars delivers 50% more heart healthy soluble fiber than found in oatmeal, and each provides 1 gram of cholesterol lowering plant sterols so it is nice to eat a snack that I feel is good for me. I actually liked eating them for breakfast too because they have 7g of vegetarian protein and they are low in salt and fat.
