Potty Training- Potty Pony Pals Giveaway

>> Tuesday, July 6, 2010

potty training underwear and method
My son is three and he is working on his potty training still. He has the peeing part down pretty well but is still working on getting the #2 into the toilet! Anyway, I was recently searching for organic underwear for him when I came across Potty Pony Pals organic briefs. I also discovered that Potty Pony Pals is actually a method that uses a DVD with a cartoon designed to "to bridge the communication gap between parent and toddler and end the frustration of potty training."

I was very curious to give Potty Pony Pals potty training method a try. It arrived packaged very nicely in a pretty red organza bag- two pairs of organic briefs, the DVD, and the instructions. First I played the 10 minute animated DVD telling the story of Potty pony and how he likes to stay dry. Leo loved it and wanted to see it again and then again! Next I introduced the underwear explaining that Potty Pony is sleeping on the inside and asked Leo if he could help keep him dry. The toddler learns Potty Pony does not like to get wet and they have fun keeping him dry. Pretty simple but effective! Potty Pony Pals just received the 2010 Creative Child Magazine Top Choice Award.

I like that the underwear is 100% organic cotton , made in the USA, and thick but not too thick. I also like that the image of Potty Pony sleeping is printed with water base, low impact dye.

The winner will receive one Potty Pals Kit which includes 2 organic cotton briefs and DVD (a $24.99 value).

I visited Pony Pals website and I always heard girls were potty trained before boys but never realized they didn't do it any faster. Interesting factoid.

I learned that 80% of boys and girls are potty trained completely by 3 1/2 years which is when my oldest was. I have 2 more to go thru potty training (one currently), and could really put this to use!

I didn't realize that one of the signs of being ready to potty train was that they stop playing when they are "going in their pants". I'll need to watch for that!
Thanks!
