Resourceful Mommies, Edition 4: A Mom Helping Make Travel Easier with Kids For Everyone
>> Friday, October 8, 2010
Kaamna Bhojwani-Dhawan was a networking, entrepreneuring, jetsetting fiend. Then she got pregnant. But rather than life slowing down, it seemed to have become more interesting, because now she had a companion to share her world with. Living in Australia at the time, Kaamna planned several trips with her son,and spent hours on the web looking for "child-friendly cottages in Christchurch" or "baby foods available in Japan" and found.. nothing.
And just like that, Momaboard.com was born.
Kaamna believes that just because we are parents doesn't mean that we have lost our taste for the good things in life (we may not be able to afford them anymore, but that's a different blog post!). With Momaboard, Kaamna seeks out unique, baby-friendly cities, hotels, boutiques, restaurants and couples them with practical need-to-know information about various countries across the globe. She also writes about travel with kids in general, and tries to "unhorrify" the process so that more parents will be willing to get out there and let their kids explore the world. She is currently running a survey to find the most child-friendly universities in America so tune into Momaboard.com for the results soon.
