Home Essenital Oil Mini Collection- A Great Introduction to Great Essential Oils, Lavender, Lemon, and Grapefruit

>> Sunday, November 14, 2010

This essential oil collection makes a great introduction for those who are interested in trying essential oils. Essential oils are extracted from aromatic plant sources via steam distillation, and are highly concentrated and far more potent than dry herbs.
While essential oils often have a pleasant aroma, their chemical makeup is complex and their benefits vast—which makes them much more than something that simply smells good. Essential oils can be used for aromatherapy, massage therapy, emotional health, personal care, nutritional supplements, household solutions, and much more.

Lemon essential oil(Citrus limon) has a strong, purifying, citrus scent that is revitalizing and uplifting. Young Living lemon essential oil consists of 68 percent dlimonene, a powerful antioxidant. Lemon essential oils also has cleansing properties, and contains compounds that have been studied for their effects on immune function. I use it to help remove grease stains, for cooking and baking, making lemonade, washing veggies and fruits, and to make my own furniture polish.

Grapefruit essential oil is a popular oil to use in conjunction with weight management programs. Grapefruit may also be used to enhance the flavor of food and water. Rich in the powerful antioxidant d-limonene, it is also nourishing to the skin. I love the way it smells in the diffuser.

Lavender essential oils is my all time favorite essential oil. Everyone love the scent! One of the most versatile essential oils, lavender has a sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is calming and soothing. One study showed that lavender added to bath water reduced negative thoughts about the future. I always carry it in my purse for the children’s boo-boos because it is antiseptic, does not sting, stops bleeding, and helps prevent bruises. I also use it for burns and sunburns. I put it in the kid's bath water to calm them in the evenings. I used it in a spray bottle with water as my wipe spray since it is antiseptic and soothing to the skin. I also diffuse it to minimize seasonal reactions to pollen and dust mites. I also put some on cotton balls in my closets to repel moths. So versatile and useful!

Home Essential Oil Mini Collection- Includes one 5 ml bottle each of lavender, lemon, and grapefruit to create an inviting atmosphere and lift holiday spirits. Comes wrapped in an elegant cream-colored gift box with a purple bow.
