Doctor's ValuVision- Eye Exam, Glasses, and/ or Contacts Plus Back to School Vision Tips
>> Tuesday, August 10, 2010
My husband wears contacts and he had not found a new eye doctor since we moved to Nashville. We decided to try out Doctor's ValuVision. I went on line to their website and typed our zipcode into the Vision Store Locator. It was nice and easy and we found a location near us. I called up and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day.
We were very impressed with the Doctor's ValuVision store itself. It was large, well-lit, clean, and most importantly, staffed with knowledgeable and friendly staff. My husband was greeted right away when he arrived for his appointment and directed to the correct area. His doctor was very professional and confident and he is pleased with the prescription he received. He was served in a very timely manner and all of his questions were answered. We amazed at the huge selection of eyeglass frames that Doctor's ValuVision had to offer. My husband says he would definitely go back to Doctor's ValuVision.
Doctor's ValuVision offers you a complete solution for your eyewear needs. Several of their locations offer eye exams and laboratories conveniently located on site so you can usually receive your glasses or contacts in an hour or less. My husband got his contacts right away.
The selection of eyewear and kids eyewear at Doctor's ValuVision is also complete and comprehensive. With several brands of exclusive and designer frames, from companies like Bebe, Liz Claiborne, Converse, Board Room Classics and more, they one of the largest selections in the eyewear industry. Here are some photos my husband snapped so that we could share the experience with you!
Doctor's ValuVision had some really great deals on their eyeglasses frames when we were visiting their Nashville location- very affordable! If you love saving, you may want to become a fan of the Doctor's Value Vision Facebook Page for specials and vision tips.
The first day of school is fast approaching, and here is some vision info that may surprise you:
According to the American Optometric Association, previous studies have found that 60% of children labeled as "problem learners" may instead have an undiagnosed vision issue. These children can sometimes be misdiagnosed as having attention-deficit disorder or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, the association noted.
Below are some of the warning signs parents can look for if they believe their child is suffering from a vision problem. If you notice your child doing any of the following, Doctor’s ValuVision and the AOA recommend bringing them in for an eye exam.
* Loses their place while reading
* Avoids close work
* Has a tendency to rub their eyes
* Complains of frequent headaches
* Turns or tilts their head when looking at something
* Makes frequent reversals when reading or writing
* Uses a finger to keep their place when reading
* Confuses or omits simple words when reading
* Seems to consistently perform below potential
* Struggles to finish their homework
* Squints while reading or watching television
* Experiences behavioral problems
* Holds reading material too close to their face
I would like to be thank Doctor's ValuVision for being kind enough to allow my husband to receive a free eye exam so that I may share my service experience with others. I received no monetary compensation and the opinions expressed are my own and those of my husband.
